VELGA / FAQ
Before you play.
Answers about the alpha, accounts and weapon cosmetics.
Is Velga free to play?
The current alpha can be played without a payment. Choose Continue as Guest or sign in to an account. Paid purchases are not available.
Do I need an installer or a particular browser?
There is no separate game installer. Use an up-to-date desktop browser with hardware-accelerated graphics, a keyboard and a mouse. The browser loads the game and its assets when you open it.
Click into the game to let it capture your mouse. Browser and device performance vary; see technical help if the game does not load or run smoothly.
What does an account save?
Your account saves its Velkie balance, owned and equipped weapon skins, and aggregate spin history. Sign in with your registered username and password to use those items again.
Match scores and kills belong to the current round. They are not a persistent career record.
Does guest progress carry over?
Guests can play matches using Factory weapon finishes. A guest round shows the score and calculated reward, but that reward is not saved to an account.
Sign in before playing if you want to retain earned Velkies and build a cosmetic collection.
What are Velkies, and how do I earn them?
Velkies are Velga’s in-game currency. At the end of a round, signed-in players earn one Velkie per ten score points, rounded down, up to 100 Velkies per round.
Rewards settle at the end of the round, rather than after each elimination. Check the round summary for the amount earned and whether it was saved.
How does the Wheel work?
Open Shop from the lobby and use the Wheel tab. Each spin costs 100 Velkies and awards a Rifle or Sniper skin. The game server selects the result; the pointer animation presents it. Clicking at a particular time does not improve the result.
A skin you already own returns a rarity-based Velkie refund. The Wheel shows the exact rarity odds and your aggregate spin history. The cosmetics guide explains the cost and duplicate refunds.
Do skins change weapon performance?
Skins change a weapon’s appearance. They do not change its damage, fire rate or movement statistics. Factory finishes remain available, and a higher rarity does not make a weapon more powerful.
Is Velga still in development?
Yes. Velga is an alpha by Yimir Games. Gameplay, presentation and content can change as development continues.
The development notes record specific changes, including movement tuning and new weapon finishes.
What should I do if I find a bug?
Start with the support guide. If the problem persists, record what happened, the steps that led to it, your browser version and the approximate time. A screenshot or short clip can help; remove private information before sharing it.
